A masterpiece with no comparable example in the published literature or marketplace. The impressive complexity of the geometric layout is intoxicating and stunning. It is what we see in wood carving and metalwork from the Golden Age of Islamic Art (900-1400 AD). A signature at the bottom carries the name of the praiseworthy master artist. The proportions are highly unusual and indicate a special commission for a particular chamber in a palace. As for the beautiful range of attractive dyes... oh la la!
