Most peculiar. Most pretty. These two miniature rugs are actually samplers of differing size, on with an extra panel of design. The plain white kork wool field is made eye catching with laurel wreaths, garlands and extravagant flower blossoms all woven in silk. The extra panel suggests the workshop offered multiple models to its clientele and offers us tremendous insight into craft practices.
