Grand Master Asghar Rasouli has been one of the most accomplished carpet designers in Isfahan for over a half century. He provides patterns and style to other producers but only weaves a carpet in his own name and under his own supervision once every 5 years or so. This is the best of the lot. A unique creation that is simply the best contemporary Isfahan I've seen in my lifetime that did not come from the hands of the Seirafian dynasty or Master Shahapoor. Pure magic. The idea of purchasing valuable rugs and other artwork online from an overseas seller is daunting for several reasons, not least of which is the fact that, not being able to examine and feel the rug for yourself, you are never entirely certain that the origin, age or condition of the rug corresponds with the dealer’s description.
