I find it amazing that a nomadic weaver decided to buy silk at great cost from a faraway market and use it for the wefts of these matching bag faces. Why? The only possible reason was that she wanted to create the mother of all saddlebags with the highest possible finesse. So either a challenge or she was commissioned to weave them for an individual of some importance, like a Khan of the tribe. I know of no other bag faces woven with silk wefts so this pair is unique and as collectible as they come!
“I practically furnished my entire home with carpets from Hadi. The process was not only a joy but it was also a learning experience for me. Hadi was super helpful in identifying the right pieces for my home that would both work with my taste, budget, sizes required and that would be a good investment for my family. Hadi’s collection is second to none, and his knowledge and service is truly the blessing on top.” Amr Banaja, Public Investment Fund, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦
