The Millefleurs group of Tehran rugs, locally known as Haj Khanomi, is perhaps the most recognizable and legendary group of Tehran carpets woven in the Qajar period, with the finest materials and richest patterns. This handsome masterpiece presents an incredibly dense field with a flowering vase and a cornucopia of floral delights all rising up to the apex of the mihrab niche. The natural dye materials are harmonious and attractive, complimenting the mosaic style geometric ornamentation. Perfect condition and collectible. A very similar item formerly in the royal Qajar collection at the Golestan Palace is currently on display at the Carpet Museum of Iran.
